Scarlett creates hand built ceramic pieces both functional and sculptural that celebrate organic form and spontaneous expression. Each work is a unique exploration, an intuitive response to the clay’s potential and a challenge to its physical boundaries. She is drawn to textures that invite touch and to forms meant to be felt as much as seen.

Her process is immersive and instinctive. What excites her is the endless variation inherent in ceramics each piece becomes an experiment shaped by an exchange between hand, clay, and moment.

A lifelong connection to the Dungeness Peninsula profoundly shapes Scarlett’s aesthetic. Its raw coastal landscape defined by shifting light, weathered textures, and resilient flora—deeply informs her approach to texture and colour.
